Robert Sabuda - Pop Up Books Extraordinaire

Robert Saduba is a pop up book artist and paper engineer. His books are fantastically creative. Sabuda's creations are not your basic children's books. His creations leap from the page and involve sophisticated paper engineering. The art work is fantastic and the overall result is memorable. These books will be admired over and over.
Children will be delighted by the books and so will adults. Sabuda has reinterpreted classics such as the Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. The sense of movement he achieves with a pack of cards in Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland has to be seen.
Robert Sabuda's latest book is Beauty and the Beast: A Pop-Up Version of the Classic Fairy Tale, published October 19, 2010. Sabuda has captured a true fairytale atmosphere and the castle is magnificent. A superb version of a classic fairy tale love story.

Sabuda's version of Clement C Moore's The Night Before Christmas is enchanting. Sabuda's reindeer jump out from the page and the jolly Santa brings Moore's story to life. A wonderful book to read in the run up to Christmas.
For dinosaur fans, Robert Sabuda and his collaborator Matthew Reinhart have something very special. The Encyclopedia Prehistorica is a three-volume collection of pop up books featuring dinosaurs, sharks and other prehistoric mega-beasts. Spectacular. As well as the amazing pop ups these books are packed with facts. The books are aimed at ages 4-8 but everyone will want a look.
